The artist and publisher Klaus Staeck wins the Max Pechstein Honorary Award of the city of Zwickau 2011. This follows the proposal of the Kunstverein Zwickau suggesting an artist who is critically accompanying and annotating current affairs by means of political posters and imagery for decades. His name has been added to those of Alfred Hrdlicka, Lothar-Günther Buchheim and Arno Rink. The award ceremony and the opening of the temporary exhibition take place on Saturday, 19 May 2012.
