Museums and art exhibitions rather play a secondary role in the everyday life of young people. However, the issues children and teenagers are interested about can be found there as well. We would like to encourage school classes to discover the KUNSTSAMMLUNGEN ZWICKAU Max-Pechstein-Museum as a place they want to make their own, a forum to explore art and last but not least a possibility to learn about fundamental values such as diversity, liberty and tolerance. While having a look at original paintings we would like to get in touch with students, broaden their minds for artistic perspectives and stimulate discussions about universal themes such as love, death, friendship or faith. To achieve this we are using different methods (dialog, role planing, creative work etc.) and adapt the existing curriculum in Saxony when preparing our interdisciplinary school tours, workshops and projects.
